Melody maps are a great activity that uses multiple intelligences. As the children use logic to decode what the different colors and shapes mean, they will be learning the songs via the back door of their brains.
3 printable melody maps and a bell chart are now available. Each one includes instructions about how to print. Also here is the link on how to print at home.
The Melody Maps cost $1 dollar to download. Graphics designers are not cheap. 😉

I wish I understood melody maps. For some reason I just don’t “get” it. Can you recommend a place on the internet that explains melody maps for dummies?

Dear Sharole, Have you seen any of the videos of workshops we’ve done in the past? I usually demonstrate at least one melody map per year. I will be using a melody map in Logan this Saturday and they are videoing it. I’ll let you know when it is edited and ready. I firmly believe once you see it done, it will be much easier.
